Field Trip to the Chrysler!

A group of ECPI students attended the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Va on Saturday, July 13, as part of a cultural engagement activity for their Arts & Sciences curriculum. Students were able to study and engage with works of art from all over the world, including cultural artifacts from Egypt, China, Ancient Greece and Rome, as well as works from local artists in the Hampton Roads area. The visit was a supplement of the HUM205: Culture and Diversity curriculum, allowing students to focus on the important role art and culture play in all aspects of our lives. Each student selected a work of art at the museum and researched the cultural impact that it has and the historical and cultural context in which it was created. We would like to thank all of the students who were able to give up their Saturday morning to come out and support art and culture, and especially the staff of the Chrysler Museum for their accommodations and warm welcome.
